Our dear Mother Chucker passed away this morning, March 29, 2024. MC was one of the founding fathers of Camp BUI, attending first in 2006 and attended 13 burns before health issues stepped in to intercede. His greatest joy was playing horn with the Playa Pops Symphony. He volunteered at the Airport and enjoyed making Pineapple Upside Down Cake for the Camp's Thursday event. He was also famous on and off the playa for his magnificent margaritas. Mother Chucker, you were the best - the best friend, the best cook, the best musician, the very best Burner. You will be missed.

The friendliest camp on the playa famous for our front porch. Drop by for a visit and a cold drink at 2:45 and I Streets . Join us at sundown for a Shot of the Day or Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00pm for our Pineapple Upside Down Cake Thursday event.
History
Camp BUI was started in 2006 by three current camp members. Over the years we have added friends as well as numerous Burners who happened to camp near us and asked to join. We are known for our excellent cuisine, our Shot of the Day, and our Pineapple Upside Down Cake Thursday event.
