Daily Events

7-9AM

Morning Coffee 

Each morning at 7:00 AM, the Rum Runner appears with carafes of coffee, cups, condiments, and almond biscotti. Passersby and neighboring camps are invited to stop by, share a cup, and make new friends—whether beginning their day or returning from a night exploring Black Rock City.

Shot of the Day 

At sunset each day, the blast of a marine horn calls neighbors and passersby together for the Shot of the Day. Our Rum Runner presents a different surprise spirit each evening as participants gather, raise a glass, and share a communal toast to the magic of Black Rock City.

Board Games

Pull up a chair and dive into a variety of board games at Camp BUI. Play a round, make a friend, and enjoy good company at the center of it all.

Roadside Oasis

Camp BUI features a wide “front porch” designed to welcome travelers and neighbors to stop by, enjoy a cold drink, and share conversation. With our Playa Passport and Tattoo kiosks, the camp regularly engages with more than 100 visitors each day.

BUI KIOSK/Playa Passport 

Camp BUI proudly participates in the Passport Program. Stop by to get your passport stamped, score a 2026 Axis Mundi commemorative shot glass, grab a commemorative Patch or a decal or two, and enjoy a cold drink with camp members.

Commemorative SHOT GLASSES

Each year Camp BUI creates and gifts a commemorative shot glass inspired by the annual theme. More than 500 glasses are shared each year, bringing burners from across the playa to stop by, collect the latest edition, and share a celebratory toast.

Commemorative BUI PATCHES

Each year Camp BUI designs and gifts a limited-run commemorative patch inspired by the year’s Burning Man theme. These collectible patches have become a tradition at camp, drawing burners from across the playa who stop by to see the latest design and add it to their collection.

Charging Station 

Camp BUI has a mostly-always-on charging station available 24/7-ish. Power up your phone or camera while enjoying a cold drink, meeting camp members, and swapping stories—because dead batteries are not a vibe.

Adopt a Porta Pottie - Admiral

Camp BUI turns a special porto potty into a throne of legends — Admirals  creativity meets community and every drop counts! As a seasoned “drop-the-kids-off” con-artist and bidet enthusiast,she’s fired up to turn our porto potty into the ultimate creativity hotspot

 Sunday S’Mores at Axis Mundi
Golden-torched marshmallows, molten chocolate, and graham-cracker glory—burnt just enough to taste like bad decisions and good memories.

Axis Mundi Cocktail Hour

Step into a curious, topsy-turvy realm at Axis Mundi, where the center of the universe bends logic and gently unravels reality. This space invites silliness, strangeness, and the slightly ridiculous—an open-ended environment where anything feels possible and nothing is quite as it seems.

Embrace the unexpected. Meanings may shift, perspectives may tilt, and nonsense is welcomed as part of the journey. BUI brings this wacky-wonderful pocket of playful disruption to the playa as a place to pause, explore, and recalibrate your inner compass.

WEDNESDAY 5:45AM till……

Wonder Woman Wednesday Playacize 

Flashback to the 80s & 90s with a sunrise dance party like no other! Meet at Camp BUI at 0545 am , don your best fishnets and neon, and ride out to the playa for a high-energy, jazzercise-inspired dance session. Whether you're a pro or have two left feet, I’ll show you simple steps to get you grooving. Let’s sweat, sparkle, and welcome the day in full retro glory!

WEDNESDAY 

Tub of PBR 

For one glorious hour, a tub of ice-cold Pabst Blue Ribbon takes center stage. Wander in, grab a beer, trade a joke, and enjoy a round of laughs before heading back out into the beautiful chaos of Black Rock City.

THURSDAY  2:00–4:00 PM

Pineapple Upside Down Cake Thursday 

On Thursday afternoon from 2:00–4:00 PM, Camp BUI hosts its legendary Pineapple Upside Down Cake gathering. Push Start & his fearless helpers mix batter with reckless enthusiasm while his crew wrangle Dutch ovens and briquettes into cake-producing obedience. Miraculously, dessert happens.

The entire camp mobilizes to welcome and engage visitors, with plenty of seating for those who want to sit, snack, and connect. More than 25 cakes are baked and shared, feeding 300–400 hungry burners who stop by to enjoy a slice and the lively atmosphere.

Between bites, guests are invited (enthusiastically encouraged) to participate in a rotating gauntlet of playful challenges and games, including Twister and a sit-up challenge on the inversion table. Expect laughter, a bit of friendly chaos, and a sugar high that may last well into the night.

SATURDAY - Day of the Burn 3-5 pm

Face and Body Painting

Hurricane brings the color! Choose a whimsical design from the board or request a custom creation, all inspired by Axis Mundi. A special face-painting session will take place the afternoon of Burn Night—come get adorned for the big moment.
